PACE of Northeast Indiana was the 137th PACE Center to be opened in the entire country. Today, there are more than 200 Centers, but we remain the only program launched by an Area Agency on Aging.

CLAUDETTE'S SUCCESS STORY
"Claudette" (76) came to PACE 3 months after a below the knee amputation with an open, unhealing wound. She had had multiple ER visits and hospitalizations. Her primary mode of transportation was in a manual wheelchair. She lived alone, was having difficulty completing activities of daily living and was socially isolated with only intermittent family support.
She was reserved when she enrolled in PACE; unsure how the program would work. But she was hopeful.
Her journey with PACE began with staff healing her wound, then fitting her with a prosthetic. Now, "Claudette" comes to PACE twice a week for socialization and ambulates with a walker. You wouldn't know she has a prosthetic. She has had no further ER visits or hospitalizations since joining PACE.
Now she is an inspiration to other Participants, encouraging them in their therapy journeys. She gives all the credit to PACE.
